What happened: I purchased a kit at my Sanford, FL store. "Punky Colour Light-ning Fast ** vol Bleach Kit", to do about a * inch streak in the front of my daughter's hair. She has dyed black, long hair well past her waist but we were only doing a small section in the face area. I never buy "kits" but I liked this one because it had the ** vol included, as well as an Olaplex-type additive (Intrabond Serum) to maintain hair health. It also included the Intrabond Repairing Mask to use afterwards, which I was considering buying already, while in the store. I've been doing my own hair, highlights, ETC, ETC, since I was ** years old, plus I've done both my daughter's heads every color in the book for about ** years so I KNOW when I tell you this kit was nothing short of a total waste of time and money. I left the mixture on her hair well over * hours in total, in multiple applications, and the hair NEVER LIFTED. I had to ultimately use product I already had at home to complete the job. *I went to Sally's and explained all of this to the "acting manager", who has "worked there for * whole years" and told her I wanted a refund. First, she tried explaining how I must have used the product wrong, because she knew all about it. Then, she refused me a refund because "they didn't accept used product returns", oh, "unless there was half the bottle remaining" AND "I needed to have come back to the store THE NEXT DAY to plead my case because then they could've given me a replacement product". Frankly, I wanted to tell her that I will get there when I CAN GET THERE and Sally's has a LOVE IT OR RETURN IT policy for my very situation! Anyway, I looked online to find these rules she claimed were law about the return policy and could find nothing. So I am now asking you, can I return this kit under the policy or no? Please help because I want to resolve this as it really may affect my shopping there in the future. I know that often the sales force consists of students who are only trying to learn while working with products they will use later in their career. Good for them, really! But store policy should also be learned, as far as I am concerned. Wouldn't you agree?
